Statement from the Organizers of FayetteCross 2021
Based on the current health conditions in the US because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers of FayetteCross have cancelled the 2020 event scheduled for November 7-8, 2020 in Fayetteville Arkansas.
FayetteCross takes place at Centennial Park in Fayetteville, the site of the 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. FayetteCross was slated to serve as the Pan-American Cyclo-cross Championships for 2020.
Race Director Brook Watts commented, “We’ve made the decision in the interest of the health of athletes, spectators and the entire community of Northwest Arkansas. The good news is, we have made a commitment to stage FayetteCross on October 2-3 in 2021. People will be able to have a sneak peek at the 2022 World Championships course in Centennial Park”
Watts continued, “Our partners, sponsors and multiple athletes have agreed that this difficult decision is in the best interest of everyone involved.”

Centennial Park at Millsap Mountain is one of the newest additions to the Fayetteville Parks and Recreation system. The new cycling-centric park is an outstanding example of a public-private partnership coming together to benefit the community. It’s a beautiful natural area just a few minutes from downtown Fayetteville. Park construction is underway to develop the course that will be used for FayetteCross and for the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in 2022.
